An intimate spiritual sanctuary offering authentic yoga holidays in Byron Bay for those seeking rest, healing, and deeper connection to the heart of yoga.
Situated in the peaceful seaside village of Suffolk Park, just 10 minutes south of Byron Bay and a five-minute walk to the beach, Anahata Yoga is a place where yoga is lived daily — not performed.
Here, practice unfolds naturally within rhythm, simplicity, and presence.
Guests are welcomed into the teachings of Master Yogi Peter Clifford, born in 1945, who has dedicated more than six decades to the study, practice, and teaching of yoga.
His transmission reflects classical yogic wisdom — joyful, experiential, grounded, and deeply transformative.
Alongside him is Faye Maramara, yoga practitioner and apprentice teacher, offering nurturing practices integrating:
Sound healing
Kirtan/ Chanting
Sunrise yoga at Broken Head beach
Yin and restorative yoga.
Together they hold a sincere and heart-centred space for seekers at all stages of the path.
Anahata Yoga Retreat is held by Master Yogi Peter Clifford— over 60 years of yoga practice and Faye Maramara, partners in life and practice, devoted to preserving yoga as a lived spiritual path rather than a modern fitness trend.
This sanctuary exists not as a business concept, but as the natural expression of decades of practice, study, and inner transformation.
Together, Peter and Faye hold a space rooted in Anahata — the heart centre.
Guests are welcomed not as clients, but as participants in a shared field of practice.
There is no performance here.
No pressure to achieve.
Only the invitation to slow down, listen inwardly, and remember one’s natural state of balance.
Unlike large retreat resorts, Anahata offers a personal and immersive yoga lifestyle experience.
Guests may participate as much or as little as they wish, allowing space for both inward retreat and coastal exploration.
